• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

Each time I've made an order with Newline they get slower and slower. But at least they would respond to emails. Now that has stopped as well. Anybody have a phone number for them? E-mails certainly don't work.
 
I had trouble with them last year and had to get my money back via PayPal since they never answered my emails. I've pretty much had decided they're a dead company right now that hasn't taken the website down. And my order wasn't just an item or two, but a couple hundred bucks.
 
No word, web is still working, you can place an order but you never will get the items but a Paypal refund.
No idea why Graham has no closed the shop.

It's such a shame Newline has closed down, they had such great products. Battle gear are now producing a small range of top quality boots.

Did Newline and Battlegear work together?

Anyway, I think Graham should just do the responsible thing and either take down the website, disable the ability to purchase, or if Graham is in hiatus for whatever reason (esp. with COVID-19 affecting practically the entire supply chain of our hobby), at least put up notice of that on his site.

Otherwise, I'm inclined to believe that by remaining passive, he welcomes unsuspecting people to send in their PayPal payments and if a portion of those people do not successfully effect a refund, he welcomes that as well.

If it's just a one-man operation, maybe something incapacitated Graham from acting or even responding to emails? Hoping that is not the case.

Just recently I purchased some leather pistol holsters, Y-Straps, and rank pips, all great stuff, been ordering Augies goods since before Battlegear. always quality goods, the new boot line looks promising, would love to see them expand, or even better yet, have NewLine start producing again, Panzerwerks as well for that matter :rock:
