• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

From Sicily to NW Europe-Canadian tank crews, lots of pics

This project started out last year when I tried painting the infamous pixie suits and soon it ballooned into a large group of figures. The painted pixies do get a bit stiff but its good for the upright pose of these troopers. LdSH (Lord Strathcona's Horse, Royal Canadians - 2nd Armoured...

    Bren carrier

I got a box from Harold yesterday, my bren carrier has arrived. Some quick photos with some Canadian Seaforth Highlanders - since the unit marking is for them 'for the time being'. But not for long, the PPCLI actually has an eye on this piece of kit in the future. Harold has done a fantastic job.

    Fallschirmjäger fun, lots of pics.

The weekend weather was very nice, so I thought my FJs should get some fresh air and perform an ambush and delay action, retreating from the Canucks. The rest of the pics are in my gallery. The Canucks Loyal Edmonton Regiment would be the intended target after they forced the 1st FJ Div out of...

My version 250/10 almost complete (lots of pics)

The 250/10 started out as a basic AH 250. The upgraded parts were from Armorpax, Panzerwerks, Toyrific and the engine blocks from Veritasz34. The ammo crates were scratch built, they may not be correct, it'll do for now untill I get some of the DML 3.7cm cases. Both of the 250s got Panzerwerks...

    Pointman revisit

This is a figure loosely based on the book 'POINTMAN' by Chief James Watson US Navy (retired). I thought it would be fun to do something post WW2. The book was about Chief Watson's experiences in Vietnam, who served 3 tours with SEAL team 2. This is the first time I tried face painting and...
