• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

I have many 1/16 scale tanks, one a Jagdpanther was inspiring to this project. It is a Night-Fighter FGB Version Used beginning in Dec.1944 in a small unit F.G.B.attached to Grossdeutschland Division. I researched this build, and considered this paint scheme, yet being very unique to the Baltic...

Tri-color possibly? But for now the base color tan until the main feature have been added. My New Generation design is a long term project and one I intend to keep. Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

From the assembled lower hull I began testing, The wheel spacing which was the same as the straight axle version of the FOA kit revealed problems, which were expected. But the suspension action and stability was great. The window drive motors were far under powered, but for paved surfaces worked...

We shall continue to build my friend, in spite of everything. You may not recall I was rying years back to perfect the recoiling airsoft system in 1/16 scale. I succeed selling the design to Waltersons. I am trying to apply the recoiling system minus the airsoft part to the 1/6th scale...

Next the internal bulkheads, secured with the same hardware type. The bulkheads create the box frame structure and provide the battery box enclosure, component mounting for electronics and have conduit passages to allow the single wiring harness to pass throughout the hull. The harness was...

Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

The control Arms were simple 1/4" CR steel, threaded in two positions to determine the best wheel location and movement arc. The purpose of this first built remained test and evaluation. From this prototype were to evolve the best features. Manufacturing, materials and ease of assembly being...

Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

Thank you, I have a 251 Version which uses shocks to damper the control arm movement. Unfortunately the design never left the drafting board although I did research coil over 1/10 scale Traxxas shocks and mounts. Finding them to be reasonable in price and easy to mount.

Thanks guys, I just wish to share my work and hope other guys may benefit from the ideas. I will share any of the source information as well, I spent alot of time speaking with suppliers and manufacturing during this build and during my studies the past two years. This design is very strong...

Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

Once the rails are bolted to the bottom plate the suspension can be assembled less the control arms. Next I added the hull side panels. These are secured by bolts at specific points which thread directly into the rails. Once secured the control arms may be added. The front Glaces rivets...

Jagdpanther with Original Twin rail suspension system

Dec.2012 I began to build two Jagdpanthers, both prototype designs based on my suspension system. The tank chosen the Field of Armor Jagdpanther. The Suspension known simply as the Panzer Suspension System was design by me to allow the stress of the suspension to be spread evenly across 16...
